There are books you read. And then there are books that meet you where you are and gently call you higher. Think and Grow Rich for Women is the second kind. I have always admired Sharon Lechter’s work, but getting to spend time with her gave this book even more weight for me. She does not just talk about wealth in terms of money. She talks about alignment. Intention. Responsibility. And the quiet confidence that comes from knowing you are building something that lasts.
What I appreciate most about this book is how it reframes success for women without softening the standard. It does not lower the bar. It expands the definition. Wealth here includes financial independence, yes, but also self-trust, contribution, relationships, and purpose. The kind of wealth that supports your life instead of consuming it.
From an investing lens, the message is powerful. Your mindset is either compounding for you or quietly working against you. Beliefs around money, risk, worth, and patience show up in every financial decision we make. This book reminds us that clarity and intention are not “woo.” They are foundational.
I also love how Sharon emphasizes personal responsibility. Not hustle. Not burnout. Responsibility for your choices, your goals, and your future. That resonates deeply with how I approach investing. Build systems. Make thoughtful decisions. Let time and consistency do the heavy lifting.
This is not a book you speed through. It is one you sit with, reflect on, and return to as your life evolves.
So here is the real question. If your beliefs were fully aligned with the future you say you want, what would you start doing differently today?
